To Seek and Share God’s Grace

Through Welcome, WORSHIP and Work

Services are at 10:30 am each Sunday

Contemplative Worship is held on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm in our Garden or Church

Worship is the heart of who we are at Trinity as we acknowledge WHOSE we are:

Children of the Living God, the One who raised Jesus from the dead!

In Worship we encounter the Living God, who addresses each of us personally and all of us together to say – I LOVE YOU! I KNOW YOUR PAIN. I DIED FOR YOU! I AM NOT DEAD BUT ALIVE! I AM ALIVE FOR YOU! I LIVE IN YOU! LET’S CELEBRATE LIFE TOGETHER!

Each Worship service includes:

  • Singing
  • Sharing of the Peace (a greeting between worship participants)
  • Prayer (both spoken and private)
  • Corporate Confession of Sin and announcement of Forgiveness
  • Readings from both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible
  • A message/sermon from the pastor
  • The celebration of Holy communion where all are welcome

Worship at Trinity is a celebration

When you enter our worship space, you feel you are in the presence of the Holy. This beautiful neo-gothic church was built in 1926 and encompasses stone, plaster, wood, stained glass and a slate floor. The acoustics are marvelous!

Worship at Trinity is traditional, lively and diverse. Music is central to the way we praise God and we love to sing. In any given service, we might share music of J.S. Bach or a Spanish folk tune, Taize chant or Norwegian hymns.

In addition to the pastor, the choir leads the liturgy each week.

Our historic E.M. Skinner organ is played by our gifted musician William Easterling. One will also hear our Steinway piano, Handbell Choir, a vocal soloist or small group, or the musical saw!

Many persons are in leadership during worship: Ushers & Greeters, Choir, Handbell Choir, Assisting Ministers, Crucifers, Lay Readers, Chalice Bearers, Vergers, Altar Guild. If you would like to be a part of the leadership, speak with Pastor Paul.

We are home to the Astoria Choir.

We are home to Connections Church NYC.
